It really depends on what you're trying to accomplish.


·         Mapped drives

·         Registry verification/updates

·         File copies

For many things, you can leverage Group Policy Preferences, so you don't even 
need to worry about scripting.

Hi John,

I'm using KiXtart logon script since about 20 years now and still happy with it.
No problem on Windows 7 (x86).
There has been an update to 4.64 recently.

We generally have intermittent 000142 errors when the the systems try to run 
the logon script from our dc's.  The user can go out and double click the thing 
afterwards without issue, but it seems to happen a fair bit.

There is no money to switch to other script languages.... and generally i've 
always been happy with kix.
