I am starting to run into issues where portfast needs to be enabled for imaging
to work properly. It won't fail every time, but it will definitely cause it to
fail some of the time.

I believe with portfast disabled, our switches won't pass traffic for 30
seconds.

This has caused some problems with our task sequences where the client doesn't
have an IP address when it needs to do some action that requires network
connectivity, such as adding to the domain.

I am seeing this in multiple scenarios, including using Dell's Stand Alone SCCM
Image deployments, as well as a Stand Alone Media deployment of a Dell Venue 11
(8.1 Enterprise).

Subject: [mssms] Recommended switch configs for successful PXE boot?

I understand this is a very generic question, and is almost always environment
specific but I have to ask it anyway.

Anyone have any recommended switch configs or specific settings that they have
had to set to help PXE boot be more successful? I have heard that turning on
portfast helps? Any other suggestions?
