Finally i did installed the sccm client on linux machines ... created package, 
program and distributed.
when i see the scxcm.log - i see weird messages... it sees the package and 
advertisement ID but finally it says deleted the 

The program did not run...not seeing much in log...i am not much familier with 
linux commands but trying to see if any other logs i can check...?

You would create a package with the appropriate bash script etc. to run the 
commands to do the installation.  Below is an example I will most likely have a 
write up soon on how to do this for Linux at least that should cover most 
scenarios needed.

The Linux and Mac software updates will be in tar and DMG files. How do I push 
as a software distribution ? 
Is there any configuration to be setup in server side to get the sw and hw 
inventory

You can do this via Software Distribution so if you can automate whatever you 
want to push package it up as a package/program and push it to those systems.
 
Outside of that we don’t support native patch integration like windows.
