the hard limit I believe is still 50mb (or at least it was in cm07, and I don't think that has changed). so only make that regkey up to 50mb--don't make it any higher. I believe I monitored/watched for a few months to see what a "normal" (ish) workstation would ever do as a large mif size, and ended up with that regkey at 20mb. Also what I have is in "default client agent settings", in hardware inventory, CCMRecentlyusedapps is OFF And then there's a collection for "All workstations", and on *that* I have a custom client agent setting, for which CCMrecentlyusedapps is enabled in hinv.
