if you want to reinstall Windows again then you would normally disable bitlocker (you can disable bitlocker in the Windows OS itself and then reboot, or disable it in WinPE as I do below). When you are doing a re-installation of Windows (a refresh), keeping the users data is important, and if the disc is bitlockered (encrypted) you can't read from the disc in WinPE. (not the case in Windows)
A New computer scenario won't care about users data and wipes the disc so disabling Bitlocker is not an issue, if you'd like a ready made task sequence that does this for you (video included) then checkout the CM12 BitLocker FrontEnd HTA below cheers niall - CM12 in a Lab - The CM12 BitLocker FrontEnd HTA - video<http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?/topic/7636-the-cm12-bitlocker-frontend-hta-video/> - CM12 in a Lab - The CM12 BitLocker FrontEnd HTA<http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?/topic/7294-the-cm12-bitlocker-frontend-hta> On Wed, Apr 23, 2014 at 3:19 AM, Hun boy <[email protected]> wrote: > I have a system enabled with bitlocker. > > Now when I want to do the deployment of windows again is it mandatory to > use disable bitlocker step ??? > > What happens if I do not use this step and proceed further to deploy OS ? > > Sorry about questions am trying to understand the practical problems... > > Sent from iPhone....sorry for typos > > > >
