By the time your client pays the cost of trying to hammer all of this into 
SMS2003, and deal with all the issues that will surely follow, it would be 
cheaper to simply bite the bullet and go to CM12R2 and be done with it, and 
leave the 20th century behind in the process. There is no simple/easy/cheap 
answer here for your client I’m afraid!
