Hi Jeff, I don't mind at all :) If you wish to "control" the user/users that are allowed to elevate
Locate the registry folder NoLightPeople in HKLM\Software\AccessDirector Create a REG_SZ key named AccessGroup Data should be a group name, let's call it AdminAccess Create a local group on the computer, matching the input in the AccessGroup. Now only users that are member of this group will be allowed to elevate using the tray icon. The above can be controlled using Group Policy Preferences Hope that answers your question, otherwise just ping me :) Med venlig hilsen / Best regards [Description: http://www.atea.dk/gifs/apps/topnordic2004/tnlogo_lille.gif]<http://www.atea.dk/gifs/apps/topnordic2004/tnlogo_lille.gif> Thomas Marcussen Seniorkonsulent Mobil: +45 3078 0190 thomas.marcus...@atea.dk<mailto:thomas.marcus...@atea.dk> Atea A/S Tangen 4 8200 Aarhus N DANMARK Telefon / Phone: +45 7025 2550 Telefax: +45 8678 5555 www.atea.dk <http://www.atea.dk/> [Deployment & Dev] From: listsad...@lists.myitforum.com [mailto:listsad...@lists.myitforum.com] On Behalf Of Krueger, Jeff Sent: 9. maj 2014 17:07 To: mssms@lists.myitforum.com Subject: [mssms] RE: Access Director for Windows This looks like a pretty useful tool, though a question if you don't mind. It appears that once it has been installed on a system that any user then can elevate privileges, have you looked at a way where it can be configured for only named users to be able to elevate their access with this tool? Thinking of a scenario where a local account that is not an admin needs to temporarily have admin rights, but don't otherwise want to open it up for every user to able to elevate.
