I completely agree with this suggestion. On top of that, have the contract 
setup (retainer) so that you can email/GoToMeeting them questions for ~6 
months. This way if you get stuck they can help you and they know you 
environment.

Find a consultant to come and mentor you for a week or 2. DO not let them do 
the install or anything else, have them explain it to you until you understand 
it and can do it.

If you cannot do that then this list is the next best stop.
