We are constantly removing stuff from systems even with Forefront Endpoint
Protection. Even blocking C2's with other tools and it still never sees a
thing. Saving a little money each year over what could and has happened...just
make sure the "Target" isn't on your back, and that you pass on the risk.

Forefront consistently scores low in detection rates, but my understanding is
that real-world efficacy is pretty decent. Does anyone have any comment on this?
We may end up running it as our second antivirus.

(I'm well versed in AV and defensive technologies, you don't need to save me
from myself. :))

Our savings was over $40k switching from McAfee to Forefront.
But more important is the overall time saved by having a less resource
intensive product. McAfee scanning was constant issue ....

Well the reason we switch from McAfee to Forefront/scep was money. We saved
about $3000 a year. That was really the only reason we switched!

Sorry, I was more looking at some of the business and technical drivers on why
you made the switch from SEP to forefront. Sorry :)

We did this with McAfee. I believe it uninstalled McAfee for us automatically.

Has anyone yanked out SEP and replaced it with forefront?

My security manager is currently thinking about this, and was looking to see if
he could talk to anyone who was done that already.

If anyone has done this, and would be willing to chat with us about it, can you
drop me an e-mail at
[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> ?
