Yes and thank you. That's formatting the numbers the number correctly as I
was hoping '0.000000', it returns more numbers that I was expecting but is
not an issue.

One other thing I was wondering is if I'm doing the calculation correctly.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
DB returns     +   calculated (col_2/60.0/1000)
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
*Eval Length  + Length                                +
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
*380393  + 6.33988333300                    +
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
380 Secs       +
393 milsec     +

  If I am understanding the question right, you should be able to enter the
following for a (minutes. Seconds) format

(CL.EvaluationLength/60.0/1000 'Length')

*Subject:* [mssms] Help on a query - formatting numbers

Hello All,

I'm not much of a SQL guy and there are some SQL gurus here so I'm reaching
out for some help on a query that I would like to use for a report.

In the query below (CL.EvaluationLength/60 'Length') is integer type and
comes back as '380339'/60 = 6339 with 6 being minutes and the 339 are
seconds. I would like to format the output as '6.339' for the report but
having trouble getting the right function to do it so any help would be
appreciated.

Also, if some has already created a report to show how long collections are
taking to evaluate and would like to share it would be great.

SELECT cg.SiteID 'Collection ID'

             ,cg.CollectionName 'Collection Name'

      ,CL.EvaluationLength 'Eval Length'

             ,CL.EvaluationLength/60 'Length'

             ,cg.Schedule

      ,EvaluationStartTime

      ,LastRefreshTime

      ,MemberChanges

  FROM Collections_L CL

  inner join Collections_G CG on cl.CollectionID = cg.CollectionID

  order by CL.EvaluationLength desc

Thanks,

Cesar
