The only issue I've seen is that IIS on rare and random occasions will unbind the cert from the web site -- I have no idea why this happens. You get all kinds of errors in ConfigMgr including 12030 error in mpcontrol.log with no apparent cause. Rebinding cert fixes all.
As far as ConfigMgr is concerned though, there's really nothing different as this layer of HTTPS is mostly provided by the OS and IIS.
