As much as I hate this answer it does work. I had the same issue and tried the same things. I had the same error. I had to remove PXE from the DP and add it back to get it to work again. Just go to the DP and uncheck pxe. Wait till it removes itself. Then recheck the box. That will reinstall and the service should start.
