OpsMgr for desktops = BIG $$$$

Can't you simply meter the apps and write a report that shows which apps are 
and are not being used on certain hardware specs? Create what you feel like is 
a baseline min hardware for each app and go from there.

Is there any way to do software metering but for hardware ? I want to know if 
my computers are struggling with some apps like Autocad or Phtotoshop or in the 
contratray to powerfull for their use (ms office, freecell ;) )
