For my part Rob I think that this was an oversight in the product and I would
hope that this functionality will be introduced in short measure

What are the commercials on this? Are you planning to charge for this and if
so, how much?

Thanks all, I may be an MVP, I may have been doing this since SMS 1.x came out,
I might “get“ Wally Meads sense of humour about Notepad and actually understand
his reasoning, but I am JUST LIKE YOU! Some are indifferent about MP usage, I
think to turn a blind eye to it and assume the Global Network will tolerate all
kinds of noise is just plain wrong. I said this the very first day I was
introduced to the new MP concepts in CM12 RTM in Redmond, and I’ve been an
advocate for change ever since. It should not be assumed that adding noise to
the line is okay, it is not, and if it is added it should only be so because it
cannot be controlled. I’m sure a lot of you have had to tell the customer that
this is uncontrollable, you’ve heard the disappointment from the customer, and
the resignation that there’s nothing that can be done, you’ve probably designed
to have the MP’s at the Core of the network and put up with the many hops
Clients make around the Global Network to reach them, well now something can be
done about it, you can put an MP right next to your Clients and make them use I
100% of the time. You no longer need to tell customers that the product’s
Management Points simply cannot be tamed, they can, as is evident from
LocationAware, and, something not taken into account yet, the constant and very
noisy Notification Channel is now localised as well. I’ve always disliked
telling customers that I “can’t do that” with the most power Enterprise Systems
Management solution out there. This was, is a gap in the product. I’ve just
filled it. The Management Point story was always a weak point in the
implementation, now we have options. I’m very much interested in your opinions
and thoughts on the above. Robert From: [email protected]

This is what we were expecting from Microsoft but I don't think they can
include this feature very soon :)
kudos to Rob.
I'll get in touch with you offline for a demo :)

LocationAware, the product I’ve been working on for the last few months is now
ready for release. http://www.smsmarshall.com/Pages/LocationAware.aspx I’m
announcing it here as it introduces a new design element into ConfigMgr 2012
SP1 and R2 Hierarchies that will be of interest to all Hierarchy architects.
You can now totally control Management Point usage within a Hierarchy. Robert
