You can do that with Dell CFS but I'm not a huge fan normally. However it may be a good fit in this case. I have a lot of users that are spread all over the globe. Maybe one to two per country. They work mostly out of their homes and don’t really go to any office at any point. I also have a lot of 5 – 10 people sales offices with no support or servers either. Currently as you can image supporting these people remotely is a nightmare. Even buying and imaging a machine for them can take a lot of work and time with multiple shipments. I currently use Windows 7 as a default and use OSD and SCCM 2012 sp1 to image all of my machines our current VPN solution is Microsoft Direct Access. I have a dream that I want an image that I can be applied at a factory so when the user receives there laptop they would just power on and it will work for them automatically. If they ever have an issue they can reboot it like the F5 key and be given an option to reimage the machine. From local hard drive (saving Data and Custom settings) Really making these machines easy to repair or restore and can be done by a user. Any thoughts on any products that would help make this a reality. What’s everyone doing currently in this scenario.
