Hi everyone, in particular John Marcum,

We upgraded a small group of computers to Flash 14.0.0.145 yesterday and found
that a couple of computers failed to upgrade Flash correctly (still). 95% of
computers were successful, 5% were not.

We are using the Adobe Flash MSI's for both the active x and plugin
installations.

I think you have said this before John, the basic log file installer
(FlashInstall.log) shows success with minimal information. The new versions
appears in Programs and Features and the previous versions no longer appear.

However when you examine c:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash there are both old
and new versions of Flash files.

RE: the broken in installs. On some occasions the Flash plugin / active x add
in continues to work, in other cases the plugin is broken and you need to
manually uninstall the new Flash active x and plugin installations, clear the
contents of the Flash folder and then reinstall the latest Flash active x and
plugin MSI's to fix the issue.

Has anyone heard anything further on this? It looks to me like a similar issue
with Java updates were a file is locked which is preventing Flash from
upgrading correctly. This has never been a problem in the past and seems to
have started sometime around Flash 13 being released (but may have been started
in a later version of 12?)

Cheers
Damon
