You could try installing the client using psexec? I’ve had some success with this in the past on computers which wouldn’t upgrade from the 2007 R3 client to the 2012 SP1 client.
Just open up a command prompt from your Config Mgr server and run the following assuming you have copied ccmsetup.exe to the the target pc. In the past I’ve just copied to the temp directory. I think also ran ccmclean (or removed the old client using ccmsetup /uninstall if there was an older version present). psexec -s \\targethostname \\targethostname\C$\temp\ccmsetup.exe /MP:%YourMP% FSP=%YourFSP% /noservice SMSSITECODE=XXX Not sure if this will help or not. Might be a totally different issue, but I do recall the errors we were getting had information regarding BITS in the log and it was only a handful – less than 10 out of 1300.
