They should switch to your one working MP.

I was just checking a few clients and as I expected some machines are reporting
to different MPs. If I go down to one MP what will happen to the machines
reporting to the MP I want to remove?

Multiple MP's can be used for HA. No other reason to have more than 1 with only
17k clients though.

If I recall correctly a single MP can handle 25k requests per hour. What is
your polling interval set at?
There should only be one FSP.

All,

I just inherited an environment with 3 MPs. We currently have about 17,000
clients. We are in a campus environment and are very well connected, is there
any reason to justify multiple MPs? Is there a benefit? Also if I wanted to go
down to the single MP on my Primary site server would there be any adverse
effects removing those roles, along with the FSP roles?

Thanks

Josh Denzik
