The SQL requirements are listed at

SQL Server 2008 R2 SP2 (any CU level) is supported. Not following the SQL
update question though, what SQL update?

Subject: [mssms] SQL2008 R2 SP2 CU13 Supported?

I have a few questions about this. Customer has SCCM 2012 SP1 at this time and
will be upgrading to SCCM 2012 R2 as a part of this engagement.

* Is SQL 2008 R2 SP2 CU13 supported for use in CAS and primary sites in
a hierarchy?

* Am I OK upgrading SQL Server first or should I wait until the sites
are at the R2 level and then update SQL?

Appreciate any thoughts and responses!

Thanks,
