Mark,

Considering that all versions and all "site types" of ConfigMgr 2012 support
SQL Server 2008 R2 SP2, you should be fine going either direction.
Regardless of whether you upgrade SQL or ConfigMgr first, you will still
always be in a supported configuration. :)

Thanks for the comments!

Trevor - I am upgrading from SQL 2008 R2 SP2 CU0.

Jason - Was wondering if there exists a particular order of update, CU level
of SQL first or R2 upgrade of SCCM first on any particular box. (I am aware
of the top-down update strategy for SCCM.)

Thanks,

Mark,

What version are you upgrading the SQL Server from? Just curious.

SQL Server 2008 R2 SP2 CU13 is supported by all versions of Configuration
Manager 2012 (RTM, SP1, R2), for all Site Databases (CAS, Primary,
Secondary).

Subject: [mssms] SQL2008 R2 SP2 CU13 Supported?

I have a few questions about this. Customer has SCCM 2012 SP1 at this time
and will be upgrading to SCCM 2012 R2 as a part of this engagement.

* Is SQL 2008 R2 SP2 CU13 supported for use in CAS and primary sites
in a hierarchy?

* Am I OK upgrading SQL Server first or should I wait until the
sites are at the R2 level and then update SQL?

Appreciate any thoughts and responses!

Thanks,
