I'm currently running 9 VM's off a laptop with 8GB RAM and 1xSSD! I don't
even know the VM's are running most of the time as there is zero impact on
performance back on the physical desktop so far.

Recommend Hyper-V rather than Virtual PC and setting up the switch manager
to bridge with your NIC.

Run DC, SCCM and rest on the VM's.
