Windows 10... whatever; that's a marketing thing.

win32_operatingsystem.version
5.1 = xp
5.2 = server 2003
6.0 = server 08
6.1 = win7
6.2 = win8 / Server 12 (not R2)
6.3 = win 8.1 / server 12 r2

So... what will Win10 "be" in there? 6.4? or will they go crazy and finally
move to 7?

Right, as long as we go through the Windows Insider Program correct?

It will be wide open – anyone can sign up for the Windows Insiders program and
download the bits. We encourage IT pros to try it out.

Thanks,

I don’t know about it being available in the TechNet Evaluation Center.
Everything seems to imply that it is soft of a “members only” type of thing and
not something really open to the public.

At least that’s the vibe I’m getting. That this is a very controlled preview
from Microsoft’s perspective. I could be wrong though.

Yes…you must sign up for the new Insider Program.

The page will be http://preview.windows.com

However, the page will be updated overnight and go live tomorrow. It still
houses the Windows 8.1 preview content. You’ll also be able to get links to it
from the new TechNet Evaluation Center.

Do we have to be signed up beforehand to see the download when it goes live?

Public, I certainly hope not. The requirements to participate are pretty strict
(meant for IT Pros), and you can’t uninstall.

Bits will go live in the new TechNet Evaluation Center shortly at this link…

Thought it was supposed to be today. I haven’t heard anything on any of the

Good Day all,
                Anyone know if the Technical Preview of Windows TH will be
announced this week?
                Also, has anyone seen any chat around if Configuration Manager
2012 will support Windows TH?

Best
