Not sure if It is possible without something being sent down to interfere
with the Windows Audio settings.

 

This tool exposes some command line arguments:
http://code.google.com/p/audioswitch/ and I use it at home but not for your
use-case.

 

I guess you'll need something better than this to handle muting the correct
device and setting the other device as the default.

We have some computers that have a requirement for the speakers to be
disabled and the headphone jack to be the default (and only) audio-out
option. Is anyone aware if this is possible?
