Never mind. MDT, wouldn't apply. But maybe I get feedback on my approach anyway?

"WOAH, are you crazy". Yeah, but hide the deployment completely AND set a date way into the future. Like 01.01.2022. It wouldn't deploy on existing clients, but "install software updates" considers them valid. If All Systems has an update schedule fast enough, any client will show up in there in time. As said, not sure yet if there is a gotcha. Btw: For a refresh, for the same user, I don't delete anything. -Roland From: [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of sccmfun Sent: Dienstag, 20. What if you are re-imaging a machine? If the machine was discovered when it was created a month ago by System Discovery, it won't show-up in the collection of new machines. How do you get around something like this? We're using MDT (not integrated yet) and have the SCCM client get installed during the MDT build. How do you ensure that the newly built machines get into the patching collections quickly so they are patched during build time? _____ Confidentiality Notice: This e-mail is from a law firm and may be protected by the attorney-client or work product privileges.
