we are moving towards UEFI wherever possible and are even doing UEFI
refreshes of bitlockered computers, with Windows 7 though we've had to
disable Secure Boot (as it doesn't support it) and enable CSM mode

(on Lenovos), then UEFI works fine in Windows 7,

for Windows 8.x and up it's pure UEFI all the way (including Secure boot)
