I would go with BranchCache and one large single main partition if I were you.
Gives you de-duplication on the wire. If you have to then use a Pull DP and put
on the same partition.

What is you reason to have multiple partitions if I may ask? It would make
sense for a server class OS as de-duplication could be used on a separate
volume, but on a workstation class BranchCache will offer the same feature on
the same disk.

Thanks for all the replies.

This project is not for a normal user workstation; it is for a workstation
class system to function as an SCCM DP in certain smaller office locations that
do not have a local DP (trying to eliminate WAN/remote DP bandwidth
consumption). The 30GB OS partition will only host the OS and some basic
applications (antivirus, etc, less than 200MB total). All remaining disc space
will be allocated to the data partition to host the SCCM DP content.

30 gb will fill up in about a week and second partitions will cause you no end
of grief....

Why, oh why? Do you like causing pain? 30GB is not nearly enough anymore more

Subject: [mssms] SCCM OSD task sequence - W10 with OS and DATA partitions

I am trying to create a bare metal / wipe and load task sequence for SCCM OSD
of Windows 10 for deployment to systems with Legacy BIOS/MBR. I need to
configure the OSDrive partition for a set size of 30GB, with all remaining
space assigned to an NTFS data partition. How do I need to configure the
partition settings in the task sequence? I have a task sequence that runs all
the way through to completion with no errors, but when the system gets rebooted
there is “no operating system found”.

Thanks,

David
