I upgraded last week and saw the same thing. My x64 default boot image, one that I had added drivers to through DISM because it didn't work doing it in SCCM, did not upgrade, but the 32-bit boot wim that remained untouched from our 2012 install did upgrade.
I tested a deployment after the upgrade and all of that seemed to work as normal. I haven't swung back around to it yet.
