Do you mean that you are reassigning the clients to a new site? Is this new
site in a different/new hierarchy as well?

If so, is the old site going to be decommissioned? If so, why does it matter?

Ultimately, nothing with happen to them automatically except (as John noted)
they will get marked as inactive. If you have the site maintenance task enabled
(Delete Inactive Discovery Data) they will eventually get deleted as well.

Subject: [mssms] Client Redirect script - clients still showing active in old
site

Hey all,

I am redirecting SCCM clients to a new server using a vbs script. This process
is working great. After clients evaluate they're populating on the new site
server. One thing I noticed though, if I go back and look at the old site
server, I still see the same clients I redirected showing they're active.

What policy is being used here? Do I need to manually delete the clients from
the old site server to remove them? What is the best way to approach this?

Thanks,

Brian
