All:

I was able to resolve the issue. I noticed that the permissions of the share
and folder were not set correctly for the account that I am using to connect
WSUS to SCCM. I am not sure why it was working fine for the last several
weeks, but as of now it is able to delete the content folders.

Subject: [mssms] ERROR: failed to delete orphaned content folder

All:

I am seeing an error that recently started in the wsyncmgr.log file.
Everything was working fine a few days ago, and nothing has been changed as far
as permissions on the server. I have rebooted to the server and the problem
reappears. I have done some googling, but nothing has helped thus far.
Patches are being downloaded still, but it occurs right after the sms cleanup
phase.

The error is:

Has anyone else seen this before?

Thanks for any help you can provide.
