On a newsgroup posted this problem to, someone suggested seeing if XP's Program Compatibility feature made a difference. At first I thought it was a silly idea, but out of curiosity I just tried it, by setting to Win98 / ME compatible
So this is the same EXE, running on XP, but in 98 / ME mode now. I'll be darned if it IS faster now, as fast as it was on 98 for real. Does THIS throw any interesting ideas into the pot for any experts out there? -- Jason Teagle [EMAIL PROTECTED]
