Doesn't that infer that the person is too tied into one desktop, and needs
to get used to using more generic features? I know what you mean because I
still find myself utterly lost trying to do certain things in Java; but it's
not because Java's bad, it's because I'm too set in my Windows ways, and I
need to get out of the habit. It's the same reason (presumably) all of us
develop in MS VC, instead of using cross-platform C++ compilers - we
sacrifice the cross-platformness in order to use the cool features in
Windows (or not, lol).

I agree that 'generic' misses some of the lovely features of different
environments, but that's the price to pay for cross-platformness.
