Hello In the ODBC section of the Control Panal there is a tab for "Tracing". When this is on it causes my program to effectively freeze. This is because my program uses ODBC to work with a database and there are obviously hundreds of calls and thus this tracing is an overhead.
Someone installed a ODBC driver called CLARION on their PC and it would seem that it started this tracing mechanism. Thus they couldn't use my program anymore until they worked out what had happened. As soon as he stopped the tracing, my program worked fine. I then verified this behavior for myself by starting the tracing and thus rendered my program unusable. Does anyone know of a way how I can programmatically see if this tracing mechanism is working and somehow offer to the user to switch it off?
