MS says that a 529 security error is a unknown user or bad password. Is this NT 4 server a domain controller? If so, this wouldn't seem out of the ordinary. See Q174074 for security event descriptions. I'm sure if I were to look at the security events on our BDC - as a matter of fact, I do! Guess we need more information - if BDC, you can look at the information and figure out what workstation it came from, and it was probably a user doing the good ol' fat finger.

The login-event number is: 529 User is system. The process is called: advapi (using advapi.dll ??) Logon-Type is: 4 Can s.o. give some hints what is going to cause this ? I haven't really found s.th. useful on the MS-Knowledge base. Thanks.
