I have a Win98 client accessing my NT DC (4.0 SP6A). The client is accessing an Access database through a share, and the client has change permissions. Strangely it seems that the client (without knowing it) takes ownership of the file and the file inherits the same permissions as the folder it sits under, which is admin, everyone = full.
Does anyone have any idea as to why this is happening? I could understand this happening in the 2k environment, but we are all NT except a few 2k member servers. Any thoughts?
