There are a host of different ways in which you could implement an automated
software installation system. If you are looking for a shrink wrap product
then you could use something like Verita's WinInstall, or you could opt for
a complete desktop management solution such as SMS.

Alternatively, and if you are under budget constraints (and lets be honest
who isn't), you could develop your own scripted solution - which should be
fairly easy because your targets are Win9x. The following URL points to a

I am looking at what software is available to provide the ability to update
or install software to 95/98 clients that login to a NT 4 server.

Hoping to be able to script installation of patches, or even install
