So basically to solve a simple issue, you have to redo your entire companies
naming scheme. Seems a like a little too much administrative effort for one
computer name to be noticed easier.

How about just creating a shortcut to that machine name instead of using the
network neighborhood?

Name the workstations or servers in such a way that the servers all appear
at the top of the list when sorted by name.

For example, our sever names are Grouse, Loon, Raven, Eagle, Robin, Cardinal
and Owl. All workstations begin with the letter W so that they will appear
at the bottom of the list.

Another suggestion is to use the description (or comment) field to indicate
the machine's role on the network... described the server similar and the
workstations similar and have your users view the details the NN and sort by
description.

Hope this helps.

Aaron

Hi,

Is it possible to highlite the Server Netbios Name in Network Neighborhood
or My Networks in Bold in Win9x so it stands out from the rest of it's
clients computers when browsing?
If not are there any other suggestions that may help me other than telling
the users to buy glasses?

William.
