Hello ALL: We've got a new billing system, and we are attempting to set up printing. The billing system is ALL IP (previous to this we used a comglomeration of serial asynch devices).
Anyway, we have purchased HP JetDirect 500X print servers for each printing station. The HP device has an ethernet connection and 3 parallel ports. The first port is supposed to use TCP/IP port 9100 by default. The second port uses 9101 and the third uses 9102. We have hooked up two printers on each of these JetDirects. What happens is that it always prints to port one and NEVER to port to. We talked to HP, and they recommended that we SPECIFY the names raw1 and raw2 for ports one and two respectively...DID NOT work. I am all out of ideas as I thought that suggestion would do it. Any ideas? Regards, Jay H.
