I have successfully used Ghost Enterprise Edition (6.5) to clone win2k machines without sysprep, as enterprise edition automatically changes the SID when you ghost a machine. Can't speak for the others, as I have not used them. Other versions of Ghost may require sysprep first, or using Ghostwalker.
