We copy critical SQL data and hourly transaction log backups to our
website hosting facility. We only have a T1 connection, and this is
about 500 MB daily, so it takes about an hour to do the full backup at
night.

LiveVault's full-time incremental backups appear to ameliorate the
bandwidth problem I have with the setup mentioned above, but I really
question the recoverability. You really are putting a lot of faith in
the fact that their agent isn't buggy, and they really can restore data
correctly. Most backup products use Microsofts or Oracle's APIs, which
are well-documented and reliable. LiveVault doesn't.

Plus, I'd take a long, hard look at their financials before commiting to
anything. You've got to be sure they're going to be around for the long
haul. If not, you might have to set up a whole backup system in a very
short while if they go under, or losing necessary archival data
completely.
