If I schedule NTBackup to run a nightly job at a remote site, there are occasions when the people at that site will forget to load a tape, leaving the drive empty.
It appears that if this happens the NTBackup process sits there, presumable waiting for someone to press ok, which they can't as it's not running interactively. If I then insert a tape it doesn't just start the backup, I have to kill the NTBackup process and run the job again with the tape in the drive. Is there any switch or other way that will get around this? The command I'm calling is (it's an Exchange 5.5 server): ntbackup backup DS \\server IS \\server /v /d "Full Backup" /b /t Normal /l c:\winnt\backup.log /e regards, Paul -- Paul Hutchings Network Administrator Tel: 024 7635 5378, Fax: 024 7635 8378 mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ------ You are subscribed as [email protected] Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
