Sounds like a virus/worm. Have you performed a full up2date virus scan on the box? Pumping "Server became zombie - must commit suicide" brings up tons on symantec.com

But the Zombie error is new. There is no logon / logoff activity in the security log near these times. Normally when the servers are accessed remotely a logon is recorded. Thanks!
