Most of our servers have hot-swap mirrored drives. It's standard procedure
to pull one out before making any changes, especially applying new service
packs.

When it doesn't reboot, just pop the other disk in, re-mirror & try again.

Great.  Right after I spent the night applying SP2 and all the hot fixes to
a server that didn't even have SP1.

Of course, I did learn just how great having at least mirrored drives in a
server.  Pull out the bad drive, reboot (even if 2-3 times), and back in
business.
