There is some misunderstanding with this problem, I think.

It is true that the operating system of MSX computers, as well as the one
for PC and others (I suppose), supports dates till 2079. This is not the
problem. The problem comes when using databases with only two digits
reserved for years in the date fields... first "serious" databases were
designed in 60s, when memory resources were small and blah, blah... (nothing
new to explain I think!), and even if the soft was updated, data format has
not changed. Now the century finishes and the Y2K problem appears. I think
that MSX users must not worry for this problem then.

I authorize everybody to kick my teeth if I wrote something wrong...
