Did he change the drive select signal? That's the signal that tells the
drive whether it's drive 0 (A-drive) or drive 1 (B-drive).
Most drives have jumpers to change this. Move the jumper from DS1 to DS0.
If there is no jumper, you can also try to exchange the wires. I don't have
a schematic of the 34-pin drive connector nearby, if you need it mail me.
