Hello,

Some months ago I asked in this list about connecting
MSX to Internet. Some people helped me (thanks a lot), but
my objective was not accomplished.
I would like to obtain complete and detailed information
about connecting MSX to Internet, like a list of:
        - All MSX models with built-in RS-232 Interfaces.
        - All external RS-232 Interfaces, and if each one is
in the ASCII standard or is only BIOS compatible (or neither).
        - All communication software we can use, from the
old ZMP to the latest (Erix ?). What is better ? What is freeware ?
Is for MSX1 or MSX2/ DOS1/ DOS2 ?
        - What kind of Internet acess provider we need ? I
know that we can send/read e-mail through simple BBS, but
can we connect MSX directly to a Unix/NT server ? (I don't
even know how to describe what I want to know of...). What
can you say about PPP/SLIP, etc... connections? And TCP/IP
for MSX ? Can we connect as a simple terminal (VT100 ?) and
use all Internet text services ? What are the nice servers'
addresses to use with MSX ?

Somebody could make a WWW page about this matter.
(if it already exists, I don't know).
        Thank you very much

        Werner Kai
