  I use a 1.44Mb drive that I use in my MSXs. It runs perfecttly
  (is very slow if compared with the TR internal FDD, ouch!) on
  my FS A1ST and on my HotBit (a Brazilian MSX1 model). I read
  this disks in the internal ST drive (DD) and my PC drive (HD).

  I do nothing! I simple connect the drive in the interface and turn
  on the computer. I thinks thar for NEC you must make some adjusts.
