Oh, yes, surely Konami is back to work. I forgot to mention in the
previous EM ("Konami Strikes Back") is that one new Gradius is released
to arcade and another is almost ready for Play Station. The arcade is a
3-D polygonal space shoot'em up, shown in an arcade fair here in Brazil
(unfortunately, opened only for game center owners - but a friend of
mine was there to check it). The Play Station game is not so bold, but
is really beautiful: "Gradius Gaiden" is its name ("gaiden" is a Japanese
word that means "side story", "alternative story"). While the arcade has
3 ships to choose from (if I'm not mistaken), "Gradius Gaiden" gives a
choice of 4 ships, two conventional (the classic "Vic Viper", with its
three "beaks", and the "Lord British", with only one "beak"), one extra
("Jade Knight", with A-shaped wings) and one experimental ("Falchion Beta",
with V-shaped wings - I think the arcade also presented this one - my
friend will bring me some catalogues he got at the arcade fair, all in
Japanese [the originals from Konami], so maybe I can know more about it).

the best Pages around, unfortunately with very few data about their
arcades)...
