Hello all...
Can anybody tell me anything about copy protections ???
This may sound like, that I'm going to start cracking all your games, but
you are wrong... I'm going to release a proggram called FDD-EMU in near
future, and here is two reasons why I need this info.
First of all, this proggram is going to emulate a standard diskdrive with
MSX2 & Novaxis SCSI (This proggram really works under DOS1 !!!) and I want
to make a perfect emulation, so I need to know allmoust all tricks, that
are used to make those protections. I have allready managed to make
somekind of disk error emulator so, that games like D.A.S.S etc. can be
played from HD without remowing copy protection. Anyway there is still
games like FireHawk, that can not be played, if you install copy protected
version. Cracked version still can be played, so the main probblem is in
the protection.
Expetialy I would like to know how protections, that atleast does not
sound like checking any bad sectors work.
Second thing, is that I'm not going to make this proggram PD, so I need to
make some protections. :-)
Ps. Demo version of that proggram can be found soon from my page, but I'll
give more info, when I do it.
Please help ...
