Hi all MSX/emulator freaks,
Well, I also want to stop this boring disccussion...
Firstly, I'm sorry to trigger this fighting... But I can't
understand why it became fighting...
First subject was the new standard of emulator. And I wrote
that it was nonsense. Still I think so.
Second subject was a question, "Why hate emulator?" And I
wrote that it decrease MSX users. Still I think so. Hey,
I DON'T mean VERY YOU! I'm saying about general situations.
I know some emulator users bought real MSX again. How great?
But think.. that is not important. Why? As you know, MSX
will be broken someday. Then they will use emulator only.
In my opinion, it is no meaning whether emulator users have
real MSX or not. Emulator users prefer to emulator than real
MSX. That means the emulator users prefer to PC and its
environments. Maybe, for some emulator users, it's not true.
But I'm saying about general emulator users. I hope that
I'm wrong...
Emulator users ask why I think them different than real MSX users.
The answer is this question.
"Which computer do you use?"
I can say, "I USE MSX computer", of course. But lots of emulator
users must say, "I USE P333 with 3D card... and it can emulate
MSX...~
Most emulator users use emulators and don't want MSX computer.
They can do every thing including MSX emulation on their PC. It's
really cool! They really think that PC rules!
Let's think when real MSX is broken. It seems that some of you
think that we must use emulator, then. They assume that there
will be no real MSX computer. Then, we must point out followings.
Now in this mailing list, there is anothor discussion about so-called
DOS3. How stupid it is! Big partition? Useless. We must use PC soon
because we have no real MSX. If we need big partitions, let's use
the PC disk system.
Imagine... who makes MSX softwares when there is no real MSX.
For emulators? Why? It is better to make PC softwares directly.
It seems that there is a gap in mind for the MSX future. When
real MSX is broken, what should we do? Why don't think that
we can make hardwares? Yes. It's very difficult practically.
So must we give up?
Think that what is "ALIVE". I think that "ALIVE" is developing,
producing, selling, buying, consuming ... and it is not to run MSX
softwares occasionally. I think so.
Don't misunderstand me please. I don't want to attack any MSX
emulator users. I love MSX and MSX lovers! I'm very happy to
meet you, MSX lovers, online. I think always the future of MSX.
Please be positive. We can make new MSX standard. Why not?
PC is fast. Really fast. But it is not superior to MSX even
technically. I think so. Just MSX is consists of old stuffs
compared with current components. We can extend MSX knowledge
and develope new architecture for the future of MSX.
