Hi, Last week I uploaded a game for testing your cables. But the game was with still with a bug. Sorry for that. Today I uploaded a new fixed version. The game was saved in ASCII text format with SAVE"snafu.txt",A Just browse the URL, save the form like text and then LOAD it into your MSXes. Some useful information: - The game cannot be played in a single MSX. You will need at least two MSXes linked by the Joycom cable to see it running. - Our communication routines have a delay, which was calculated for 3.58 Mhz clock MSXes. So probably it won't work in faster MSXes. The interrupt frequency doesn't matter. - The game doesn't autodetect in which port the cable is set. You MUST set the joycom cable in port 2 of each MSX computer linked. - The game doesn't count how many computers are in the ring. So at the start of the game you must type how many computers are in the ring. - The game doesn't assign a number to each computer in the ring. You must type what is the number of each MSX, according to the sequence of the links. If you have two computers linked, just enter 1 and 2. But if you have three or more, you must respect this sequence: 1 sends to 2, and 2 sends to 3, and 3 sends to 1. And so on. - If you lost the conection, the game hangs. Then you can hold ESC key to skip the communication routines and press CTRL-STOP to return to BASIC. This is also the only one way to end the game without turning off the computers. - There is still a bug in the game, because you will see that when two heads are in the same pixel, the collision is not detected. - We will continue to improve the game. We tested it last saturday with 3 computers, but we can actually test any communication routine with up to 5 MSXes (one MSX2+ with 1Mb and four MSX1 with 64Kb). If you want our help, just mail me.
